Ooblick

This was Leah's first time playing with Ooblick. I don't know if that's the technical term, but it's what my family has always called that rather weird substance that comes from mixing cornstarch and water. Leah calls it OOOOO-BICK.

I snapped this picture right before she started gagging- literally. Leah absolutely hated that stuff being on her skin. She protested to any amount being even near her fingers.

I finally got smart (after 5 minutes of trying to help her understand that it was okay to touch and play in) and gave her a measuring cup to dip into the Ooblick and pour it out again.

Oh, hours of endless fun. Okay, maybe not hours but at least 25 minutes or so. Which may as well be hours to a two year old. In the end she was happy to see it go down the drain. I don't know if we'll be trying out Ooblick again; then again, maybe we will, I certainly had fun with it.

I have never heard of that. It looks disgusting though. I will be such a mean mom, my kids will not even be allowed to play with Play Dough in the house.

OOBLICK!! How could I forget? What a good mom you are. Ooblick is MUCH cleaner than playdoh because you don't find bits of it stuck to your feet after someone plays with it. I don't love playdoh. But ooblick...

what is the recipe for ooblick? I understand it is only two ingredients but on things like this I need something a little more specific, even if they are you own guesses.
