The Destroyer

This is a small example of Parker's latest obsession: tearing apart my house. He can do it in about 10 minutes. Typically he starts in the living room by taking apart flowers and a small picture of Leah. He'll move into the 'formal' dining room where there are some books mistakenly put in his reach. Those books have been so tortured. After wards Parker tears into the kitchen. We've baby-proofed the most dangerous cabinets, but this kid has a love for pots, pans, and cookie sheets. He can remove EVERY SINGLE one of them in about 30 seconds. Next on Parker's list: the garbage can. Oh the garbage can. I've tried unsuccessfully barricading the garbage can, even two layers deep with chairs, and the kids still manages to find a way in. His goal? To eat everything in it. One day I saw him with two discarded cut ends of pickles in his mouth. Have I mentioned that Parker is a garbage can himself? He'll eat anything. So now that my garbage can is tipped over, chairs and bar stools are spread across the entire kitchen and hallway, Parker moves on to the family room. What wonders lay in the family room you may ask? Toys, remotes, electronics, and mostly the DVDs, as pictured above. This kid just tears it all apart. He'll take each DVD out, one by one laughing the entire time.

And when he's done with the main level, Parker heads upstairs. What's upstairs? More toys, more electronics, and more remotes. Oh and bathrooms. Can't forget the bathrooms.

Brings back memories of Makay. Logan was never too into stuff, but Makay sure was, the garbage can, pots and pans, and of course T.P. I feel your pain.

HAHA! Oh, that's great. I have a few of those too. What I love is the confused shock on Benjamin's face when I tell him I actually DON'T enjoy cleaning up after them all day long. Sounds like your days are pretty similar to mine.

Isn't it great when your house looks like a mini tornado went through it, destroying everything in its path. And what's crazy is how quickly they can do it all.

Still alphabetizing them? Abbie has been pulling books of the shelf and I didn't bother to put those away the way they "should be."
