Leftovers From My Brain

This is what I saw when I opened my blinds after I woke up this morning. So for lack of a better topic, you get my Rainy Day Blog aka Leftovers from my Brain

Leah has learned how to open doors. She has been working on it for some time but officially 'got' it today. I think I am more happy about this than not. I think.

I love this brand for after sun purposes. I was introduced to the blue version on the left about 6 years ago and have been loving it ever since. The blue "Burn Relief -Ice" is very good for getting the sting out of a bad burn and helping it not to blister.
The orange variety is what we have in our bathroom right now. I give the orange "Aloe Lotion" all the credit for the pseudo-tan I had last year. I've never owned a lotion that keeps color as well as this. And besides it makes you smell like an orange creamsicle.

I loathe this show. Yo Gabba Gabba is the root of all that is annoying. The characters are terrible and they sing off-key. I think the 'starts' of the show include a cat, an alien, a monster, a robot, and a bug (? - the pink the on the right), along with DJ Lance (vomit). They are awful!!! Why must Leah like this show?

Ending on a more positive note. I really do love rainy days. They are so calming and all I want to do is curl up in a ball and finish reading my book (Angels and Demons - so far so good). Key word in that sentence is WANT. What I'll probably end up doing is folding the laundry that I washed yesterday. As much as I enjoy doing laundry it is so much harder to get back to it if I don't fold it and put it away the day I wash it. Oh well... now onto the main event.

I so want to put a hoodie and sweats on, but I'm at work. I am so NOT excited to watch those kids shows (when I have kids)!

So I wasn't going to watch the video but then I decided to. What the crap? Are kid show writers on crack these day or what? And yes, that guy is very annoying.

Yo Gabba Gabba is... AWESOME!

Seriously, how could you not like this show? Shows like Barney are annoying to most adults (including myself) because the music is written specifcally for kids. This show teaches the same messages as Barney, but with cool, hip music. It is also more singing and dancing oriented. My daughter and I love the show. My wife hated at first, but she has grown to like it now.
