The Elmo Cake

Yeah, I'm pretty proud of this. First, because I didn't give up (last year Leah's birthday cake was a single serve Betty Crocker microwave dessert). Second, I didn't get impatient and rush through it (Leah's first birthday cake should have had stars piped all over it. I opted to spatula frost instead and it looked terrible). And third, even though it was easier than a paint by number IT LOOKS LIKE ELMO!

Good job Mel!! It looks great. It is more creative than any cake I have ever imagined making.

Looks fabulous! I always have great cake ideas.. but never bring them into fruition. Whenever I try, I fail miserably. So, we stick to cupcakes. But you did great!

It looks great! It puts the Elmo cake I made a few years back to shame!

Wow, I'm impressed! All those stars must have taken forever! I can't believe Leah is three already. I remember her as a newborn at Lisa's shower. But Benjamin's almost there too. Time sure has flown!
